Keep soaking all the clothes
The tables are empty
The doors are all closed
No two are home here tonight
Several different people living in a house that is like houses
Eye contact is always out of sight
Keep laying here in the bed
Keep the music feeding into the head
Keep the TV as loud as it can be
Keep the space between the family
The kids are all at school
A man is at work
A woman called a mother is giving her life a second look
The house is just as empty no matter who is there
The cables all keep sending alternatives to care
Keep sitting here in the room
Keep eyes away from otherâ??s gloom
Keep the TV as loud as it can be
Keep the space between the family
The locks are all locked
The ones to the outside and certainly the ones within
One canâ??t try to spend time with any of them
Oh but they have friends they call and with whom they often speak
Friends who wouldnâ??t be there at all if they became weak
Keep the music feeding into the head
Keep the TV on even while in bed
Keep laying here beside bones that feel dead
Keep the space between the family
