The battle of Love

Being with you is difficult,
you'll never understand,
it's easy for you to walk away,
leaving me here letting go of my hand.

With each step you take ,
in the other direction,
I feel my heart break,
I can taste the rejection.

When we first admitted,
how we felt about each other,
you said that I'd get hurt,
and we could be together.

But I guess I'm just to stubborn,
I was determined to make it work,
now I know that you were right,
each time you leave I do get hurt.

So for the next few years I'll struggle,
fighting to stay alive,
feeling sad and hopeless,
until I can be by your side.

Cause in my heart I know,
this pain won't last forever,
the day will come when I'll be freed,
and we can finally be together.

The strong would let go,
the weak would give in,
I'm lost in between,
but in the end I will win.

Together we'll beat the odds,
an prove them all wrong,
they say we'll never make it,
that the waiting is just to long.

But in the end we'll show them,
how wrong they really are,
because after all,
love has gotten us this far.
