Hurting Deep Inside.

Hurting Deep Inside:

The pain dwells deep inside,
how it hurts I cannot transcribe.
Expressionless to all and the world outside.
Each night I lay down, it hurts so much I can't even cry.

Gut wrenching fate has dealt me a blow.
They have always said lightning never strikes the same place twice,
how very wrong, I should know.

Feeling so lost, where should I go?
Who can I confide in, to bear my soul?
As the rain falls upon my face, my tears mingle and roll to the ground.

Everyone else just passing by, no one noticing this saddened soul.
I feel myself fading away,
now a spec of my former self.

Time is running fast and out,
soon my story will finish fast.
Another fallen by the wayside,
soon forgotten; the world none for the worst.
