Confessions of a Lost Player

by Desperation   Mar 17, 2006

I watch the ball
As it crosses the floor
Every bounce
Just seems to be another ounce
Of my life that is lost.

I look at the crowd
All the proud parents
Watching their kids with anticipation
Waiting for their child to make that three point shot

My mother sits in the front row
She seems to love the basketball team
I can't tell her the truth
I just want to leave.

My teammates get put in to play
As I sit the bench and watch
I'm not good enough anyways
Thank god its March.

I laugh and smile with my team
I look like I belong
My mother doesn't see the detest I have for the sport
I hate being out on that gosh darn court.
