Cliff jumping

by tragic   Mar 17, 2006

My hearts racing
My knees are shaking
I am out of breath
I look down
Thoughts of death
What if I drown?
60 feet high
Like I can touch the sky
At Eye contact with the trees
Huge rocks look small
The stories in the back of my mind
I look out for the coast guard
No more wasting time
You only live once
Why I should or shouldnâ??t?
I let go of the sky and jump
Time pauses
The wind yells in my ears
Pushing against my face
My eyes start to tear
I age in mid air
Then finally
With a big whack
I break through the waters calm skin
At hard impact
The water yanks my body
Down to the abyss
I reach the surface
And look up at my scared friends
And say I want to do it again!
