Once Upon a Time

by Leah   Mar 17, 2006

She wears clothes of shame
and torren pants
images in her head begin
to dance
her hands are frozen as her
heart decends
the life she lives, that never ends.

The words she speaks
and she can't hear
the saulty liquid identified
as a tear
the colourless eyes
that she once knew
eyes that she could
never quite see through.

The blood that drains
in front of her
the cancer and the fears
without a cure
the stinging dancer in her mind
that she knew once upon a time.
