Unfinished puzzle

by Grace   Mar 19, 2006

In a world where looks are everything,
I am the Antichrist.
In a world where words attack,
I am being beaten.
In a world where a smile is considered great acting,
I am Emmy award winning.

In this world where the outside is everything,
I am nothing.

And I lie awake at night,
wishing I was one of them.
And I lie asleep at night,
dreaming of being beautiful.

I wish you could reach into me,
and pull out my heart.
All the little pieces,
scattered across my body like an unfinished puzzle.

But nobody wants to,
nobody looks at me with eyes of full of love.
I once had that,
but they gave up.
Finished half of the puzzle,
leaving the rest there to soak up moisture,
and someday shrivel up and dry.

Somebody please,
tell me why I\'m here.
Because right now I feel like theres so much I fear.
