Doesn't It Bother You?

by JL   Mar 19, 2006

Doesn't it bother you
That we pollute the air
Slowly killing ourselves
But nobody cares

Doesn't it bother you
That kids starve to death
Only six or seven
Yet taking their last breath

Doesn't it bother you
When kids shot up their school
Cause they are sick of the bullshyt
From others who are 'cool'

Doesn't it bother you
That our loved ones are away
Fighting for freedom
Or so bush continues to say

Doesn't it bother you
The number of people killed
By drunks, 'friends', carelessness
Or people just looking for a thrill

Doesn't it bother you
There are tax cuts for the rich
Though there are people
A dollar raise is all they wish

Doesn't it bother you
With all the disease and disaster
Mother Nature is pissed
-She's killing people faster

Doesn't it bother you
This is all real
No love or compassion anymore
Hatred is all people feel

And doesn't it bother you
This is no foreign place, you see
It's right here in America
The land of prosperity

Wow! You should be proud of yourself for writing this. It's so true and so sad. People in the US dont think of any of this till they are at their lowest low and searching for money or health. Amazing work done here.
