Chance

A chance was taken away,
Of something that I long,
And I wish that he could tell,
That something is really wrong.

I try my best to help out,
When a person is in need,
But this time I thought differently,
He didn't hear my plead.

And I've wished forever,
That things like this weren't true,
But now my heart's in knots and tangles,
And its all because of you.

But the blindness of the heart,
Forever yearns to see,
That things aren't going to happen,
It just wasn't meant to be.
