X Bad Samaritans

by Sole   Mar 19, 2006

Unearthly silence hangs in the air
So thick a knife could slice the sound
And shadows are dancing everywhere
Waiting for the man to hit the ground

He stands with his thin hands tight to throat
Silent and sad in the light of the moon
Making a final, mental, note
Of the crimson life dripping from his fatal wound

His knees shake, and his legs give in
And his fragile skull cracks on the floor
As the blood stains his pale skin
And the crowds pass by as they were before

Because nobody down that alley will go
Because, of the dying man, no-one wants to know

I admit the imagery was great but didn't like some of the words...hmm. But still this had been such an excellent write. The first stanza was my fave. Just how it was about the silence and the knife. Great job. Cool with just the entire thing especially imagery and the verbs. Nice job and it was amazing.
