Who could we (revise of fall to the sand)

You were always there for me,
So why did it have to end?
We were always together,
We were the best of friends.
We promised friends forever,
No matter what happened or why.
But we didn't keep that promise
And now we barely say hi
I miss you so much
But it seems that no matter how hard we try,
There is nothing we can do.
The gap between us has grown to far,
We are totally different people now

Those days of best friends are long gone,
Missed but never forgotten.
I just cant figure out,
How we let our friendship become so rotten.
When we first started to change.
There was nothing to fear.
We thought that no matter what,
We would always be here.
I know we both have changed.
But I cant understand,
How we let a friendship like ours,
Just fall to the sand.
