Sitting alone.

by Jay   Jan 25, 2004

Sitting here all alone
Just waiting for you to get home
Today went by wicked slow
I just couldn’t wait to go

I got off at 10
You said you’d be home by then.
Your still not home
Did you forget where I’ve been?

At work all day
I had to force myself to stay
I knew you weren’t even home
So why bother to go home?

Day turned into night
the clock turned 10
I clocked out the second then.

Driving home so fast
I can’t believe at last
I’m sitting here at home
And your not even home.

I’m so scared of where you are
Or what guys are near or far
You promised it’s a night out
Just with the girls all about.

Your day began at noon
Why aren’t you home anytime soon?
I Miss you with all my heart
I don’t know what your feeling
about me here at home

Did you forget about me
Did you have to much fun
Did you think of me

I called your house
and let it ring once
That is the key
and you didn’t see

Maybe your not home
maybe you did lie
if you did it would make me die.

the reason may be
your moms on the phone

if that was the case
I know you would call
From that little invention
Called a cell phone.

Its 11:00 now
and not a word
I’m beginning to cry
For did you lie?

Did you get home
And go to bed
Did you forget about me
or what you have said?

I hope it was a mistake
I hope you can see
I hope that you know
you mean the world to me.

Just because you did not call
I can not sleep
How do I know if your
Safe and sound or even asleep?

I will lay awake all night
Sitting here in constant fright.
Who knows where you are
Or what you have done

Not me of course
I’m laying all alone….
