Watch over You

One day I wish to hold your hand,
Smile having not one thought,
To be myself without judgment,
That's one thing I've been taught,

From you I've gained so much,
More than words can say,
I just hope I can tell you,
How I feel one day,

Each day gets harder,
When you are not around,
But it just makes it more fun,
When we're both on the rebound,

I've never had a kiss,
That tastes so sweet,
Or a touch,
That makes me complete,

It's a shame you will never know,
How my soul cries,
How my heart craves only you,
Not until the day I'm going to die,

Maybe if I took the risk,
It wouldn't be so bad,
Maybe I would get a chance,
To fix the love we had,

But what if it doesn't work,
You'll push me away,
I can't handle that,
Having my last days be gray,

I'd rather pray,
That god watches over you and sends,
My love to keep you safe,
Provides happiness until the end,

I'd rather watch you grow old,
Being happy with or without me,
Because I love you so much,
More then you could ever see.
