Here to Stay

by Kristin   Mar 20, 2006

Losing hold of everything
Grasping to the limits of hope
Breathing into the abyss of oblivion
However I can cope

Wishing to hold you in my arms
Keep you here in my limbs
An outreached hand is all I need
To put me into sweet sin

Longing to taste that bitter apple
To take starvation from the alone
Bathing in anticipated temptation
That pierces my skin and bone

You gnaw away my sorrow
That hides behind my eyes
Lengthening our existence
Despite all space and time

The night diminishes the skies
Awaking the long awaited dawn
Shining its glory on your face
I've found, with you, Iâ??m moving on

I pace the silent pavement
With an open heavy heart
Desiring to be only yours
To make a brand new start

Iâ??ll take my chances once again
And pray it wonâ??t go astray
Picturing us together
I know Iâ??m here to stay
