Things Are Never As They Seem.

by Steven Beesley   Mar 21, 2006

Things Are Never As They Seem:

When things get tough, and just as
you think you are out of the rough;
fate has a nasty way of dealing
you with another blow.

It seems that trouble always
travels in a company of three.
What can you do except to try and
take all the rough with the smooth.

Fall and climb, our shins we scrape,
a constant process that we must all
accept throughout our lives.
Just bite the bullet and carry on!

So many tests put to each and
all of us, many when we least
expect them the most.
Many say such tests will build our character.

It appears to be more like a test
for one's threshold for pain.
How much can each one of
us physically and mentally take?

So much strain, like a rubber
band stretched until it almost snaps.
This all happens to each
of us again and yet again.
