Phantoms Play.

by Steven Beesley   Mar 21, 2006

Phantoms Play:

Watch the weeping willows sway.
Pouring rain awake you from your sleep,
mist surrounds like death's shroud.
Ghostly silence in the forest deep.

Ghastly shadows play on your mind.
Fear in abundance, upon your
soul they do creep.
Listless night allow phantoms to play.

Shattered dream cast your heart so far away;
in a panic, afraid to die.
Harsh outlines of this night,
fill your eyes with dread and fright.

To go where others dare not roam,
terror now has taken over thee.
Ever consuming, your faith so
tested to an extreme degree.

It does require some talent to be able to write dark poetry as well as everything else. a feat that you have mastered time and again.

i don't know about ghastly shadows playing on one's mind, i do know this one will keep coming back to mine.

    prayers and peace

this poem created wicked images in my mind...scary...

Ghastly shadows play on your mind.
    Fear in abundance, upon your
    soul they do creep.
Listless night allow phantoms to play.
