Are You Listening?

by Kaylee   Mar 21, 2006

These are my words. Are you listening?
Maybe you’re tired of hearing.
Would that make it disappear? Being in denial?
Would that make you feel better about things.

Could I forget knowing the things that I learned?
The secrets that I’ve kept without meaning to.
The lies I have told so that you can keep on pretending.
Could I forget remembering seeing everything in my dreams?

These are my words....will you understand them?
Hold me while I explain....how much everything has hurt.
I need you to hear me
screaming....instead of living silent.
I’ve been locked in silence....for way too long.

I need to talk but....what words do I choose?
How could words....fail me for the very first time?
What did I do wrong....and could I have changed it?
Would everything have been different....are you listening?

Please do not push me away....I can not be hurt anymore.
I don’t need to feel like another....number. Another fact.
These waves of reactions are false....hope.
These are my words....are you listening?

*For me this is for the Summer who left me pretty much after I didn't press charges against my ex. For Dillan who tries to help but did it wrong. For my ex, who hurt me like that. What does it mean to you? Please vote as well*

Really powerfull! it does mean something to me, reminds me of my two ex's, how one lured me away from the other whom i loved more than anything, how i lied to her about it all, and becuase of just one man, lost the person i cared about more than anything.. but in the end, im the only one to blame, and just makes me think of what id like to say to her, how im sorry, but shes no longer listening, i really blew it..........
