Time Stands Still Too Long

by Jemma   Mar 21, 2006

It's how long since I came here?
I can't believe that that could be true
So little time to wonder
Every aspect of you

I guess time's stood still for me
Just for me, until pleasantries die
And echoes of this lonely room
Settle in my heart to lie

Pain is yet undefeated
And pleasure can cause its own
And the breath of night is following
Sneaking up sp close, too close

I forget how long I've been standing
Poised on the end of my toes
Waiting, just waiting
Watching and waiting

Time stands still too long

**I quite like this poem. The person who is the voice of the poem is waiting for a reation to her actions in my mind. it is not based on personal experience merley an expression perhaps of how i sometimes feel**
