God was talking,
But I didn't listen.
God tried to tell me,
What I was doing
Just isn't right.
All those times I disobeyed,
You still brought Your light to me.
You've done everything You said you would.
Even though I'm struggling,
I still want Him forever in my life.
No matter what people say,
The Father will love me anyway.
He's already done a lot for me.
With Him is where I want to be.
He's my Father!
He's my Friend!
When I called Him,
He came in,
And I know He has a plan for me.
Even though they don't know me,
People try to tell me,
I have a blessed life.
I do agree.
I need to mind His business,
Because it has to do with my life.
No matter how many times I've strayed,
My God, He loved me anyway.
He's getting me to where I need to be.
Sometimes, I don't know why He cares for me.
He's my Master!
He's my Protector!
He's my Redeemer,
And I thank Him for blessing me.
People always asking,
How could you love Him?
And, the fact that I'll put
Nothing before Him.
They be waiting
For me to mess up.
Quick to jump in my ear...
Wanting me to give up.
Even when they do...
Thinking they got something to prove.
I'll remain true...
To love Him.
No matter what may come my way,
I'm going to love God anyway.
He provides me with everything I need.
I have wonder,
How could this be?
I keep playing,
But I have the understanding...
I can't take chances,
And that's just how it has to be.
