Death

by love5hate   Mar 22, 2006

I once loved you so freely and soulfully
I hold your cold hand now
Looking down on your pale face
I close my wet eyes holding back tears.
I keep telling myself it didn't happen
You were fine last night.
You were yelling and screaming last night,
I cry now that it was at me.
I forgave all you did that night
I watched you slowly fade away
Unknowingly i promise.
Now I'll let you fly with the eagle
let them carry away distant memories of pain and sorrow.
Hurt us no more with those cold piercing eyes.
Deny the horrific fact we will not meet again,
Remember thy old lovers true.
Kiss thy heart with cold stiffened lips.
It will only mend a broken soul.
I promise to love you until my eyes also forever close.
I come home and cry on my unmade bed
Tears I will no longer let anyone see.
They will no longer understand my killing sadness,
For in each tear a piece of my fragile heart comes out as well.
