Six to Sixteen

by Maegan   Mar 22, 2006

In the first six years of my life
I thought boys were gross
they chased me, pulled my hair
and were what I hated the most

As the years went by
I didn't get as mad
and between eleven and fourteen
I decide boys weren't that bad

By fifteen my friends
were mostly made up of boys
they no longer pulled my hair
and no longer stole my toys

I somehow found
myself confiding in them
and they did the same
when they saw I was a great friend

So going from six to sixteen
has been a lesson well learned
but from sixteen and on
boys have the chance to turn

Some are nice
and may always be
but not all boys
will gain trust from me

Because even though
boys LIKE to give
they LOVE to receive
and if girls are not careful
boys will turn on them
and leave them lost and lonely.
