The motion of life

by skye   Mar 22, 2006

Hope twinkles like a star
glistening so many light years away
you think its approaching
but its just dwelling in the distance

like the illusion of the rainbow
you think you've come so far
the end is drawing nearer
but you never quite reach your destiny

like the tiny rays of sun
dancing on the surface of the waves
the tiny sparkles skip
but they never last

like the spirals of a spring
around and around they go
but it never stops
it just keeps spiraling

like the motion of a swing back and forth
the higher you get
the quicker you fall

as these resemble my life
so do the tears that stain my face
and the scared that embed my body
both inside and out
