Things are better now

After the winds that blew the joy Away
Which made lovers part
The skies are blue again
And things are better now

The land wears its green cloth
And the waters roar
On trees and on poles
Birds sing happily
For things are better now

New nests are built
And old ones are repaired
New proposals are made
And old ones are renewed
For things are better now

But here i am
locked in this cage all my life
Admiring and never experiencing
Though things are better now
