Madly In Love

by Holly   Mar 22, 2006

You were always so great to me, but when you started drinking, everything changed. You looked at me like I was something dirty. You smacked me and told me you hated me. You would wake up in the morning with a splitting headache, and go to kiss me but always be shocked to see the new bruise I got. You would beg me to tell you what had happened, I told you everything but it never stopped you from drinking. The last time was the worst, you couldn't get past the idea that I was some kind of demon. You beat me with a bat, screaming at me "How do you like that!" You woke up that morning and found me not next to you, but in the living room. Blood was everywhere, but you didn't remember what happened. You sit in prison, still saying it wasn't you, I stare down from heaven, still madly in love with you.
