Grandpa you always loved me you were always there
You showed me what life was you showed how much you care

Grandpa you know who i am each little tear i cry
You always told the truth never once to me did you lie

Grandpa you know each little cut i have each scrape i ever had
You always saw the best in me never once you saw the bad

Grandpa you told me stories you always sang me songs
You helped me through my struggles and every wrong

Grandpa I've always loved you its true you know i do
thats why this poems to show you how much my love is true

Grandpa you know my secret thoughts everything i think
Never once in my life were you the missing link

Grandpa you taught me how to see you taught me how to talk
You taught me how to stand and even how to walk

Grandpa you know whats in my head what lies beyond my eyes
You know each fib i told and every lonesome lie

Grandpa its my turn to pay you back for all the time you spent
You played with me and held me tight your heart to me was lent

Grandpa i was blessed by my shining star every moment i spent with you
