Mistake

by scott schornack   Mar 23, 2006

A life at its perfect peak
Is all I ever seek
I will never make it
My sorrow won't fake it
I had to look up
Knowing I messed up
I took it down
All to frown
For what was inside
Made me wish I never lied
It made me break down, it made me cry
To find my face would never dry
From that day on
I was miserable from dawn
Wishing everyday wouldn't flood
With the nightmare running in my blood
Knowing it would never go away
I feared, so I started to pray
Answers wouldn't come from this land
I had to put fate in God's right hand
