I\'ll Fly Away

by Dwight Towner   Mar 23, 2006

Free as the wind
Depending solely on me
Golden streets as far as the eye can see
Waiting on my wings so I can be free

Thoughts of everlasting comfort tip toe through my mind
Moving rapidly
There\'s no haulting time
Hum a hymn for my soul
Let your heart sing
For everytime you see a butterfly
Know that I am on its\' wings

It\'s hard to leave behind my life on this side of heaven now
Yet, there\'s one thing I\'ve found
And that\'s when prayers go up
Blessings come down

So goodbye for now
I\'ve been granted my wings
So I\'ll be flying
Yes I\'m yet a memory now
But there\'s no crying
I\'m free
There\'s no tears in dying

Farewell and goodbye
I\'m going to be free in the highest of the high
I\'ll be watching all of you from my home in the sky
I\'ll see ya when I see ya in the sweet bye and bye

When I finally reach the clouds
In an angelic tone
I\'ll be greeted with a \"Hello Daughter\"
And \"Welcome Home\"

Remember there\'s no pain in parting
So goodnight for now
I\'ll see you in the morning

Whatever\'s in the beginning, shall be in the end....
