Is there something after?

What is after death
what's after that final breath
do we go on as something
or just a lifeless corpse

you work a strive to stay alive
the idea of death is vain
so little time
to endure pleasure and pain

i often wonder if my life is a blunder
born to die and cast asunder
the idea of death makes me quiver
reaper at my shoulders
makes me shiver

why indulge when you lose it all
waste of time thats foreshore
time is quick and death is ruthless
trying to beat it is hopeless

you lose a loved one
or they lose you
pain and suffering is all on you
in the isle of depression is where you now lay

is there something after
or an eternal black
with no more feeling
and no more pain

i ask again....
is there anything after this....?
