Parting From You

**I wrote this when me n' Jordan first broke up, and both thought we'd get back together**

I never thought I'd feel this way
After such a short period of time.
You became my best friend,
The love of my life.
You made me smile
Just to see you happy,
Made my heart skip
With every little touch.
I hate you to be away from me,
So our friendship is enough.
Without you in my life,
I don't know what I'd do.
So even though it breaks my heart,
I'm o.k. with parting from you.
If taking time is what you need,
Take all the time you need.
Just knowing there is
Still a chance for us,
Is good enough for me.
It helps to hear your voice,
Your laugh.
It helps to know that you still care
And that you have all the while.
Without you in my life,
I don't know what I'd do.
