When You Were Mine (1993)

by Ed or Ian Henderson   Mar 23, 2006

Explain this feeling? Comes sometimes.
Hurting in heart and mind.
I have the memories still etched in my head.
Though my eyes were once blind.
When you were mine.

In the passing time once flown by,
I remember laughter and tears.
We'd fall out fight, fall back in,
Just like the tides of the seas.
When you were mine.

How could anyone, ask me why,
Be so confused then foolish,
To throw away something so perfect?
I don't know, I just wish
You were still mine.

And when I see you it's so strange.
We both turn and both walk away.
Maybe stubbornness keeps us apart,
Or did it just send us on our way?
When you were mine.

Once again an amazing Poem. I loved it. The Flow and the Ryhme was just outstanding. Awesome work, keep it up.

    Peace, Joe
