Hurt

Today i hurt myself
to see if i could still feel
i tried to focus on the pain
to see if it was real
it made a long thin cut
i still felt the same old sting
i try to make the pain go away
but i still remember everything
what have i become?
everyone i know
goes away in the end
a long chain of broken thoughts
that will never be repaired
beneath the stains of time
the feelings disappear
but i am still right here
and you are still the same...
