The Moonlight

by Eliana Fuentes   Mar 24, 2006

Up in the sky
There is the moonlight
Playing odd tricks upon her,
fancy light.
Which would bear witness
to our presence.

Not to far from the sky,
There you feel the wind,
Too pure, too high, too strong.
Which torture by shyness
the fancy moonlight.

Down the sky
There is the human being
Confused, romantic, genuine, incoherent.
Oh... Poor creature.
"Go on" they said "open the sky above us".

They live. They breath,
as they had lived it before.
They have opened the sky.

The clouds as curtains
blew softly in the night air.
All the seasons are felt.
The moonlight starts to lose
her beautiful light.

The birds are begining
to show their wings.
The sky is clear and cold.
There's the running stream
and the woods behind.

The valley with the fragrance
of the roses' petals
which are too brown, too sodden.
Bearing their scent upon the sky.

This is the end,
of a beautiful night,
which gonna be again.

Not to far, not too long.
They will have their moonlight.
With sweet ironic thoughts.
With sweet ironic dreams.
