Tranquility Lake

by Catherine Sawyer   Mar 24, 2006

A place so peaceful that my heart is at so at ease
Where the wondrous blue waters with its beauty meets the trees
No matter if it is night or day the beauty is still there
The calm of the water with the stillness of the air

This place I call Tranquility Lake for that is what I find
Where lovers stroll hand and hand, love is on their mind
It sends a tremendous feeling as you look across this lake
You lay there all night long with your lover wide awake

A glorious site observed when you look and suddenly see
Animals all around the lake, running happily and free
Deer, rabbits, chipmunks and squirrels take a drink
While in the water swimming are web toed, ducks, and minks

Surrounding are trees that God did choose to make
You see them in their beauty as their, watching over the lake
The sun shines down in the day and magic does begin
In the night the stars reflect the tranquility within

You listen to the sound of the fish splashing in the lake
The sounds of birds singing and crickets with no break
The fireflies are beautiful as they continue with their show
Over the lake at night with their wonders and their glow

Take a breath, look around, Tranquility will fill your heart
Peacefulness is in the air you' ll never want to apart
So stay here, enjoy, all that God did make
The wonders, the magic, within Tranquility Lake!
