Till Death Did Her Part

by Kate   Mar 24, 2006

Pushing hard with her blade
Blood slowly rose to the skin,
Staining her pants,
Marking her sin.

Her eyes swuezed shut tight
She bit into her lip,
Once the blood started gushing,
A breath of fresh air did she sip.

Then resting her eyes,
Cleaning-up was routine,
Though the mess not yet gone
No blood could be seen.

She relaxed in her bed,
The pain temporarily free,
Her act replayed nightly
Yet the pain no one did see.

Her secrets well hidden,
The dark side stayed in her heart,
Till the cuts went too far,
And death did her part.

WOW! Terrific title and way to end the poem! Right away it draws readers attention! To be honest with you I have a hard time reading poems like these anymore because it hurts me deeply thinking about people who harm themselves..but the poem in itself was amazing your flow is fine and your doing good! Great job again..I loved the title!
