A lifetime of memories

by maria shaw   Mar 24, 2006

You once said you loved me, more than life.
you wanted a family, with me as your wife.
our children would bring us so much joy
and you'd be here always till the day that i died.

you never mentioned that you might go 1st
my dreams are shattered, theres so much hurt.
i see you sometimes,in my dreams.
i feel you hold me and caress me.

but then i wake,my bed is empty.
i want you back so much.
to tell me you love me,and hold me tight
and make everything in life feel right.

i rub my hand over my bulging belly,
at least you left me a life time of memories.
