Gone

by Berlin   Mar 24, 2006

If I could only hold my breath surely I could stay
If you would only grant me to bring death another day
I am holding tightly, grasping stronger, letters torn in two
I am hearing voices, hearing songs that solely point to you
I refuse to hear this story I'm appalled and won't go shy
Won't hold your hand or say a prayer, too determined to deny
Keep walking through the door with locks, look through the windows pain
Stating: this is all I have to give, my chorus starts to drain
Melodies that ring more truth, rhythms I can't find
Time that spills a bitter end the ones we left behind
Forget this lonely peace of innocence Forgive before I end
For life has been a masked charade, no longer will pretend
