I have one last hope
To get a call
To have my best friend save the day
To not have to hear such ugly words
To not have to see such ugly things
Another day ruined

Though I faked a smile
She wiped it from my face
And tore me down anyway
Now I'm just waiting for my one last hope
A phone call
Pathetic - I know
But to hear my best friend say such nice things about me and to sheer me up is priceless
But when my lone last hope never comes
What do I have then?
What's left?
