The Locket

by HOLLYWOODxBANGBANG   Mar 26, 2006

**not good, but I'll edit it when i have more time**

The ice is disappearing from the wall I built inside,
Covering a onyx heart that I worked so hard to hide.
You come equipped with a chisel, longing to break through,
You grab a hatchet, take a swing, and the wall breaks into two.
You trudge through the murky waters, colored a velvety crimson red,
The droplets lost in time, falling from a heart hanging on thread.
You departed on your journey many a years ago,
The sweat on your forehead a heavenly glow.
You take a hanker chief, wipe the sweat off and return it to your pocket,
Take out the chain, look at the picture inside, that matches that of your locket.
You climb the walls, reach the top,
The pain inside hurts, but you will not stop.
Marking your territory, embedded within the depths of my heart
Dripping for you from the very start.
You take your hatchet, cut the threads
My heart falls deep into the blood beds
Splashes up, sinks to the bottom
Mixing with the colors, making a scene of autumn
You grab your necklace, grasp my heart
Drill a hole and string it through to do your part
Put it around your neck, there to stay
Whisper I love you to it every day.
