Truth

by Christy Trenholm Schmall   Mar 26, 2006

Accept me as I
Am I'm really
not that bad

Sometimes I just
don't get What
I never had

Take me at my
words For true
They'll always be

Even if that
Truth hurts both
you and me

If your life ain't
honest Then it
just ain't real

Life's hard enough
you see without
saccharin sweet surreal

A very introspective piece, Christy, and very well done.It really says so much about you.Just a suggestion, but I would switch the 'ain'ts' to 'isn'ts' for a better flow. and though the last line is excellent, it don't sem to fit with the rest of the stanza/piece.That said it is a very personal piece yet also says so much truth about life.
