This is me,
cant you see?
I'm standing right in front of thee.

Nothing more,

This is me.

Your expectations so high,
but what you get is so low.
I'm sorry but I had to let you know.
That my nose is too big,
and my skin doesn't glow.

I'm sorry I had to burst your bubble,
I didn't mean to cause that much trouble.
But this is me,
as real as can be.
No more no less
I'll never settle for second best.

I walk with my head held high,
I laugh out loud,
and I really try
