Secret

Her love for him was kept a secret,
a secret she was dying to tell.
But she was so afraid of regret,
so secretly she fell.

She kept it a secret for so long,
and she knew what she had to do.
She didn't think she could be wrong
she thought he loved her too.

She told him her secret and gave him her heart
not knowing what a mistake that would be.
She didn't know he would tear it apart,
but to him it was nothing but apathy.

Her broken heart is soon to to mend,
and then foolishly she'll love again.
