Always Here

by Jemma   Mar 27, 2006

A smile slips across his face as he eyes his goal
A wicked temptation, always there
Lurking at the back of his mind
Always there, always there

I forget how long I watched him
As he sat like drunk on the floor
I forget why I did not comfort him
Too close, I'm always here

I know not why you turned
So abruptly to meet my eyes
I forgot everything as I searched them
Knowing all, hiding nothing

The echoes of an afterthought
The whispers of love
The anger and wrath have been buried
And we're here, always here

Staring at a blank wall
It's reflecting the light
It blinds my eyes
But I feel you're here, always here
