Lit By A Star

I'm a rapper of some intelligence
You could call this poetical indulgence
I use my words with the care that everything deserves
My focused attention may well get on your nerves
There ain't any conspiracies they're just a false trail
The controlling lies are getting kinda stale
You see it's easy to follow along like sheep
You're free if you so wish to remain asleep
The false promises that echo round the planet
The statesmen and churchman know there's nothing in it
The police and armies are political tools
Helping to keep you and me chained like fools.

To break free take a look at where we've been
Before religion and politics took over the scene
Society's a dysfunctional disgrace
Ask yourself what happens keeping up with this pace
Yeah it's true I can be more positive
When it comes right down to it, I know we're here to live
If experience teaches us all we need to know
What makes so afraid to just let go?
Yeah! Us humans have a place right here
A joy of no worries a place of no fear
Take a look around you now and see what we are
Intelligent beings... lit by a star

When we acknowledge this universal flow
We see our energy grow and grow
Love is the path, yeah, love is the key
Love is the divine that is you and me
What you give out you really get back
In my imagination there's nothing that I lack
We all have the power to create the life we need
Instead of these dramas that make our hearts bleed
We can turn this around if we please
Yes it's simple if we allow our fear to ease
Now what future do you wish to see?
