Hmm, I would say that you are time as people try to "kill time" and time is correspondent with fate. Good job I haven't seen a riddle on here before.

Hm. I liked this. I'm not very good at riddles, though. So, I have no idea what the answer could possibly be. Hm..

In the third stanza, I dislike the repetition of "avoid". Meh. Not a huge deal or anything, just a personal thing.
