Growing Up

Time flies by, it still amazes me,
How quickly you've grown up.
Were you ever young?
Remember when you would just play for fun?
I remember those days, and I smile.
Watching you grow has become interesting for me..
You constantly keep me on my toes.

You are fighting to grow,
And I am fighting to stay where we are.
Letting go is harder than you might think,
But I really am trying, so hard.

Such a beautiful young woman your becoming,
To see you grow fills me with such pride.
I am here for you my daughter, whenever you need,
I will be here for the entire ride.

As you grow and mature should you need me at all,
I will be here for you my sweet one.
I will help you, and hold you and guide you my best,
But when it comes to your decisions,
I'll let you do the rest.

I may not be perfect, sometimes I might mess up.
But I will truly try my darling,
To let you grow up.
