The happiness you never gave me,
The one that you always denied,
It was the one that tore my heart,
And brought tears to my eyes.

The smile you never showed me,
The words that you left unspoken,
The fear you hid behind my heart,
Made me shatter, left me broken.

The details you never had with me,
Or a simple glance at my face,
Always evading me the best you could,
How you ignored me every day.

How you always made fun of me,
Of all my defects and mistakes,
That made my feelings disappear,
And cause my heart to break.

But now I've found someone who cares,
And its making my wounded heart heal,
Its making me get over the past, over you,
Now I'm with someone whose feelings are real.
