Humantiy

by Kahlan   Mar 28, 2006

Through the fog of a half forgotten dream
a laugh echoes across the crevices of time
a startling sound among st the drone of a life gone bad
the memories flood
the heart dies a little more
but the reflection of the soul stays unwavering in the light of a summers day
why can't it move on death is long and all encompassing
whether there is something beyond life is not even the question the soul wants answered
instead it just want's reassurance that life still has a fighting chance against the abuse it has already received
the songs of the past stir in the old forgotten place of memory
home family is a distant half remembered dream
a ripple in a still pool is seen
the serene gone the face is left bare to mourn to feel to unfreeze from the shell of humanity.
