The Nuclear Bomb

by Kenshin   Mar 28, 2006

Triggered by a small chain reaction,
A power so immense,
It destroyed an entire city,
Like light in the darkness,
Destructing everything in its path,
Even humans cannot survive it,
And those who did,
Live the rest of their lives,
Tarnished by the memories of those who died?
Heaven closed,
Apocalypse on earth,
Nothing can escape.
The nuclear bomb

Short, sweet and to the point. The quick hitting, devastating message reflects the terrible power of a bomb like that, and thus I thought it was fitting. A little more elaboration and this poem would have been a five for sure.
