The ground of paradise

by Joey   Mar 28, 2006

The eyes of her heart have pierced me, and I lie helplessly on the soft ground of paradise

Once the winds were desolate, and the paths to grievance endlessly covered with fallen leaves
Hope had never thrived here, unless it were hope forlorn

Yet she, an entity made of pure and unforgiving beauty, has crossed these paths to the gates of perdition, and embedded a sword with a pommel gem made of euphoric dreams
I bear this sword with might
I bear this sword with strength of will
And I bear it for her, and her alone

She is the joy which escaped from Pandora's box, a soft wind which cools your mind when the days grow long and hot
For this one time that I have met the beauty of her eyes, I felt lost, lost within the clear, astonishing appearance of her magnificence, and this time I do not want to be found

And even now, I write these words, but to no avail
All these written emotions have been written in vain
Sheer happiness truly pales compared to the feelings she gives me

And the eyes of her heart have pierced me, and I lie helplessly on the soft ground of paradise
Savouring breath of love...
