Fitting In

by Smile   Mar 28, 2006

Time flies by extremely fast
and there is no point in living in the past....
But I remember like it was yesterday,
You would pass right by
without saying Hi!
You were the new guy in the crowd
You were trying so hard to make it work
and without a doubt
I tried to help you out.
Forgetting all the little smirks,
the 'Not now call you later'.
I would wait by the phone all night
hoping you would be all right.
Three o'clock I got a call
at first I hoped it was a game
and here I am going insane.
You're lying here in front of me,
I can't accept it, it can't be,
you're all dressed up with one place to go
and now I have to let you go.
You'll be in a better place
I just can't believe it's the last time I'll see your face.
